Liverpool shoppers react to Superstore discount news

Loblaw, the company that owns Superstore, confirmed earlier this week that it would stop offering discounts of up to 50 per cent on foods that are near their best before dates.

Instead, they said they would mark them down by 30 per cent. Late Friday afternoon, though, the company said it would keep the 50 per cent discount.

The change to the lower discount hadn’t happened yet at the Superstore in Liverpool. Discounted food items there were still at 50 per cent off.

But we asked shoppers in Liverpool what they thought of the possible change. Here’s what they had to say.
