Queens women pleads guilty in negligent death

A Queens County woman has pleaded guilty to criminal negligence causing the death of her younger sister.
28 year old Meghan Elizabeth Nowe admitted she gave methadone to her sister, 22 year old Allison Nowe, in April 2017 at a Bridgewater apartment. First responders were called to the scene about a woman in medical distress, and took her to South Shore Regional Hospital. Allison died later that day.
Nowe will be sentenced next month in Bridgwater provincial court, where she will also face charges of manslaughter and breaching probation.
