Behind the scenes look at RQM operations

The Region of Queens is hosting tours of their facilities all this week, to give the public a look at what goes on behind the scene.

On Monday tours were held at the water treatment facility on Roy Turner Drive, where operator Sherman Roberts explained the process to take water from Town Lake and turn it into clean drinking water.

On Nov. 20 tours of the public works building and sewage treatment facility will take place this afternoon at 138 Hank Snow Drive in Liverpool. Multiple times to take the tours are set up, starting at 1:30 and going at half hour intervals.

On Thursday there will be a tour of Queens Place Emera Centre, including some behind the scenes areas, and on Friday the tour will be at the Landfill and recycling centre.
