Camping numbers up across the province

It was a big year for the provinces’ provincial camping parks.

With the season closed and the numbers tallied, just under 82,500 campsite nights were booked. This is a five per cent increase from 2017 and more than 30 per cent since 2014.

The provincial government said improvements are coming to the park reservation system for next year to make it easier to book campsites.

All provincial parks are now closed for camping but can still be visited for hiking and winter activities.
