Line the edges of a caulked area with painter’s tape!

There are few things that make a tub or window look less presentable that a messy line of caulk. To ensure that you always have a perfectly-caulked surface every time, use painter’s tape on either side of where the caulk will go and voila! No mess and a professional-looking job.
