(Pixabay)<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nova Scotia RCMP are warning people about a phone scam in which a caller poses as a Nova Scotia Power employee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The scammer wants people to believe they didn\u2019t pay for their smart meter installation, saying that if they don\u2019t pay immediately, their power will be disconnected. The caller also claims that a technician is on his way to their home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">RCMP say it\u2019s designed to trick people into giving out their personal information, like bank or credit card details.
