The local Liverpool and Area 545 Air Cadet Squadron held their annual review today May 26 at the Middle School in Liverpool N.S.Twenty seven young people aged 12 to 18 showed their skills in an impressive display of drills, lessons learned and a little humour added. Many of the cadets received awards for the accomplishments they attained in the past year. Many dignitaries were on hand to speak and present awards to these young people.Special reviewing officer LCol Allison Wilton CD ,Commanding Officer for the summer camp at CFB Greenwood spoke about the accomplishments of our local squadron and how well they did at today’s ceremony and in zone and provincial meets held throughout the past year.Other local dignitaries were present including MLA Kim Masland and Mayor David Dagley.This coming year will see 6 cadets move onto to pursue further education at University and Community Colleges.Captain Katherine Gayton Commanding \u00a0Officer of the 545 Squadron also spoke at the review, will be doing a recruiting effort this fall to bring the squadron up to 40 plus members.
