Zombies shuffled and moaned there way through Liverpool on Saturday, but they weren\u2019t out for brains.<\/p>\n

The event was a fundraiser for the Queens Universal Play Park group, which is seeking to create a fully accessible park next to Queens Place Emera Centre.<\/p>\n

The project incorporates ramps instead of stairs, picture communication and braille boards for the hard of hearing and hard of sight, and will be fully fenced in.\u00a0 The proposed budget for the park is around $500,000.<\/p>\n

For this event, participants raised money on their own, and on Nov. 3 came out dressed in their best zombie gear at the Town Hall Arts and Cultural centre. From their they walked through town to Queens Place Emera Centre, gathering more than a few curious looks from drivers.<\/p>\n

Debbie Wambolt, one of the organizers of the event said it was a fun way to raise funds and raise awareness, and hopes to make it an annual event.<\/p>\n
